Theresa has worked in healthcare for 40 years, the last 25 years at UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute. After a decade as a pharmacy technician, she returned to school and transitioned in her career from a health documentation specialist/medical editor to her current role as a cardiology technician responsible for coordinating quality cardiac care for patients in multiple underserved rural communities in western Pennsylvania. She joined A Hand Up Erie in 2018 after the loss of her mother to honor her years of dedication to volunteering/serving. Theresa spends free time with her family, dogs, motorcycle, and cheering on her favorite hockey teams.
