Mark Howell

Mark is retired from Erie Beer Company.  Mark worked for Erie Beer for 16 years overseeing vehicle fleet maintenance, training new hires for commercial driver license testing and was also responsible for warehouse administration.  Mark processed orders, scheduled deliveries and made contact with down state customers concerning inventory demand and delivery.

Prior to working for Erie Beer, Mark was employed at Hallman Chevrolet in the Auto and Truck Services Departments as a service advisor and also service manager.

Mark served honorably in the United States Army through June of 1978.  Mark was a Recovery Specialist with last duty station being in Heilbronn, Germany.

 

Interests, Activities and Experience

Mark has and is serving many non-profit organizations in the Erie area.  He worked with the Bethany Outreach Center being part of a team that worked toward getting their 501©3 designation.  Mark serves on his church council at Luther Memorial Church and is also heavily involved with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and is on the Advisory Board of Family Services of NW PA.  He has been a Big Brother for nearly 10 years.  Mark has been instrumental in helping the above organizations with fundraising, budgets, setting goals, marketing, mission statements and mentoring.  Mark joined A Hand Up Erie in 2018 and has been a valuable member of our team using his skill set to help us obtain our 501©3 and setting up donation pick up scheduling.
